Planning for a Family Reunion

To make the family complete even for a day is a great experience. One way to do it is to set a reunion for your family and relatives. Here are some tips when planning for a family reunion.

1. Know what kind of party you want to have. Picnic party and dinner party are just some of your great options. Making it unique will also spice up the gathering.
2. Determine who will the organizers. Reunion is a big event so it’s better to ask for assistance from your family or relatives.
3. Make a guest list. Start listing the immediate family members and relatives that you have contact information. Then, you can ask them about your long-lost aunties and uncles.
4. Calculate the budget. The budget usually depends on the number of guests and type of reunion party and location as well.
5. Prepare the invitations and send them to your loved ones. The earlier the better so they can have lots of time to prepare also.
6. Pick the perfect location. You can hold the reunion in your ancestral home or in a campsite to experience outdoor fun. Remember, the place is not necessarily to be luxurious; as long as the whole family is comfortable, a simple location is enough.
7. Choose the right date. As much as possible, all the members of family should be available on your target date so everyone is present in the gathering.
8. To verify if your guests will surely attend, you can follow up your invitations through calling them.
9. Determine who will handle the expenses so that everything can be settled earlier like reserving a hotel room, renting a pool resort and other matters.
